Energy Efficient Design
•   Windows are sized and positioned to provide good daylight and natural ventilation.
•   South-facing glazing is 13% of the finish floor area. Concrete and tile floors provide thermal
mass to prevent high midday internal temperatures in the summer or on sunny winter days.
•   The roof is oriented and sloped to receive solar hot water and photovoltaic panels.
•   Framing details avoid thermal bridging and reduce lumber costs.
•   Insulation levels are higher than the code requirement.
