The interior of this 1960’s Dutch Colonial house was badly damaged by fire.  Like the mythical phoenix, the owners rose from the ashes to recreate their lives and home. The redesigned residence connects with the site better, provides improved display space for their art collection and is far more energy efficient.  At the heart of the house is a European style wood-burning masonry heater.  The project was featured in the October 2009 issue of Boston Magazine.
