WHO WE ARE
Before we are anything else to our clients, we are listeners. We take in every word. Every idea. Big and small. Impossible and seemingly impossible. A window seat here. A stained glass window there. The ripple of a garden pool. A splash of sunlight. A music room. A library. A quiet nook far from the ordinary. All of it. For where there is listening, there is collaboration. And where there is collaboration, there is a home designed to delight it’s owners for decades to come.
We are a small but mighty team, led by architect and landscape designer, Christopher Royer, AIA.
Long before sustainability was a buzzword, ecological design was Chris’s passion. He earned his Master of Architecture degree at the University of California-Berkeley, where he studied with renowned thought-leader, Christopher Alexander. Later he received a Certificate in Landscape Design from the Landscape Institute of the Arnold Arboretum of Harvard University.
A transplanted Midwesterner, he has made New England his home for over 30 years.
Chris started Royer Architects with the mission of simplifying and enriching clients’ lives through high quality design of their homes and gardens.
